Applications are open for the EUJS Yad Vashem Seminar 2026!

Every year, EUJS brings together a small group of Students and Young Professionals from across Europe for a week-long educational seminar in Jerusalem.

The EUJS Yad Vashem Seminar is an opportunity to reflect on the role our generation plays in preserving memory, strengthening Holocaust education, and ensuring that the stories of the past continue to be carried forward.

Through tours, lectures, workshops, discussions, and reflection, participants explore Holocaust history through an interactive and multidisciplinary programme led by leading experts. Throughout the week, participants will engage with topics including Holocaust history, Jewish life in Europe before the Second World War, Nazi antisemitism, Holocaust denial, and contemporary Jewish life around the world.

Who can apply?

The seminar is designed for Jewish and non-Jewish activists, advocates, university Students, and Young Professionals between 18 and 30 years old who are involved, or interested in becoming involved, in Holocaust education.

All sessions will be held in English, and participants are therefore expected to have a strong level of English comprehension and communication.

Programme and travel

The programme begins on Sunday, 8th November at approximately 20:00. Participants should plan to arrive in Jerusalem before 17:00.

The programme will finish on Sunday, 15th November at approximately 12:00, and return flights should therefore be booked after 16:00.

Full participation throughout the seminar is expected.

Participation fee

A non-refundable participation fee of $100 USD is required.

Accommodation, all meals, the full programme, and transportation during the programme are covered. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own flights to and from Israel.

We recommend checking the availability of flights with Israeli airlines, such as El Al, Arkia, and Israir, before applying. EUJS cannot take responsibility for cancellations affecting flights booked independently by participants.

Financial support is available. If needed, please contact Jonas Markowitz at jonas@eujs.org directly to apply for a scholarship.

We also recommend contacting your local Jewish community or student union to explore opportunities for additional financial support.
