Why Vote in the 2024 European Elections?

Published ahead of the 2024 European Parliament elections, held from 6 to 9 June 2024, this EUJS booklet was created to help young people understand why their participation in European democracy matters. It introduces the European Parliament, its history, structure, political groups, and role within the European Union, while explaining how its work and decisions affect citizens across Europe.

The booklet also provides practical information on the 2024 elections, including voting rules, eligibility and voting ages across EU Member States, and how representatives are elected. Above all, it encourages young Europeans to make their voices heard at the ballot box, highlighting the role of youth participation in shaping the future of Europe and the policies that affect Jewish communities across the continent.
