We stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and firmly oppose the radical Islamist regime governing the country under the Islamic Republic. This regime does not represent the will, dignity or aspirations of the Iranian people. Its rule is built on repression, fear and the systematic erosion of fundamental human rights. We recognise the courage of Iranians across generations who continue to demand freedom of expression, personal dignity and the right to live without fear. We stand against the violent suppression of women, the persecution of minorities, the criminalisation of dissent and the use of state brutality to maintain ideological control. We support those resisting oppression and defending the right of Iranians to determine their own future.
