The Swiss Union of Jewish Students (SUJS) is the national umbrella organisation representing Jewish students and young adults aged 18 to 35 across Switzerland.
Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Zurich, SUJS is a proud member of both the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS). Its mission is to build a strong, connected Jewish student community, empower future leaders, and promote civic engagement. SUJS actively combats antisemitism through political advocacy, education, and interfaith dialogue. It also fosters Jewish and secular education by organising shiurim, lectures, and practical training.
With a strong presence at both the university and federal levels, SUJS provides a platform for young Jews to engage, learn, and lead. The organisation hosts networking events linking students with professionals in politics and business, organises Shabbatonim across cities like Basel, Bern, Lausanne, and Zurich, and facilitates Swiss participation in international Jewish student gatherings.
