Macedonian Jewish Youth is a Union established in 2022 with the goal of revitalising youth engagement within the Jewish community of North Macedonia. Operating as part of one of the smallest Jewish communities in Europe, the Union currently includes approximately 35 active members, united by a shared commitment to cultural preservation, education, and community development.
The main focuses of the Union are creating opportunities for young people to connect with their heritage, strengthen communal ties, and engage in meaningful cultural and educational activities. Key areas of activity include leadership development, informal education, international cooperation, and promoting Jewish identity and values.
Despite the community's modest size, the Union operates with a clear vision and long-term dedication to sustaining Jewish life in the country. Macedonian Jewish Youth plays a vital role in safeguarding the historical and cultural legacy of Macedonian Jewry while responding to the needs and aspirations of its younger members.
