EUJS vice-presidents Jane Braden-Golay and Eric Kounio, along with EUJS executive director Deborah Abisror, attended the European Council of Jewish Communities’ Fourth Meeting of Presidents, organized in partnership with JDC and held in Barcelona, Spain.
Today (March 19) 4 people were murdered at a Jewish school in Toulouse, a teacher and 3 children, plus 2 serisously wounded. We are keeping them in our payers.
Andi Gergely, Chairperson of the European Union of Jewish Students, comments that "as an international student organization, we are highly concerned that an institution of higher education accepts to host a conference that will promote hate propaganda. It affects not only Jewish students in Geneva and Europe, but anybody who cares for peace, democracy and the respect of human dignity."
