We're conquering new territory! Starting 2018, EUJS will be monitoring online hate speech as a partner on the Media Diversity Institute project Get The Trolls Out!

We're thrilled to take part in this project that strives to engage Europeans – especially young people – in activities that monitor hate speech and counter these incidents and attitudes with fact-based messages and actions of inclusion that embrace Europe's diversity.

We will, alongside the LICRA - The International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism in France, The Media Diversity Institute in the UK, The Center for Independent Journalism in Hungary, the Amadeu Antonio Stiftung in Germany, the European Forum of Muslim Women in Belgium and Symbiosis in Greece, expose the attitudes, misrepresentations and manipulation of antisemitic, anti-muslim and anti-religious public discourses through creative education, humour, drama and fact-based messages.

Some of the projects' key activities will include monitoring of traditional and new media content in order to uncover anti-religious speech and discourses by public and other figures. When project's monitoring efforts detect anti-religious speech and discourses in the media, the partners will expose and counter them. Get the Trolls Out will focus also on video story production and several media strategy.

We're excited to kick off this new project and expand our work to the sphere of online monitoring!
