It's always great to hear of new Jewish student hubs being established and so EUJS are thrilled to hear that the 'Union De Los Estudiantes Judios De Barcelona (UEJB)' is ready and rearing to go!
The union is headed by Julio Saad, a French-Colombian Jew who has lived in Barcelona for last 8 years. Whilst living in Paris, he took an active role in organisations like the EEIF Scouts and was a Counsellor and Camp Manager in UEJF trips and JCamps. After attending SummerU with EUJS in 2015, Julio noticed the lack of centralised organisations for jewish students and so 'I decided then to build one', he explains. Julio hopes to unit all young jewish students in Spain which, as he explains, is only a first step.
