EUJS to European Parliament: We want to work on a Future of Jews in Europe

The conference on the Future of Jewish Communities in Europe was held at the European Parliament, where MEPs and representatives from Jewish communities gathered with the aim of debating the problematic phenomenon of antisemitism and the future of the Jewish people in Europe.

EUJS’ elected President Benny Fischer spoke on the role of youth in developing future Jewish Communities and about the tremendous importance of promoting their voices. Together with MEP Cecilia Wikström, Swedish member of the ALDE group, Fischer also voiced for a more direct inclusion of women when discussing the future of Jewish communities and organizations in Europe. In addition, the EUJS President also dedicated a substantial part of his speech on the importance of constructing Jewish identities around positive topics.
