EUJS Board meets in Berlin

From Friday, February 2nd, to Sunday, February 4th, EUJS held its second in-person Board meeting, in Berlin, Germany. The weekend was a productive and effective one, where the board worked side by side with the office, managing to plan the exciting campaigns and programs to roll out in the upcoming months.

We’ve reshaped our priorities for the coming period, evaluated our work together so far and made sure to renew our energy and commitment for the months to come. We also spent a beautiful and meaningful Shabbat amongst the local Jewish community, who welcomed us with open arms and shared a touching sermon about miracles in current times. Only few days after International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and reflected on Shoah commemoration, the need to rethink Holocaust education and maintain the memory of those no longer with us.

This intense weekend wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland, the Central Council of Jews in Germany, JSUD – Jüdische Studierendenunion Deutschland, the German Union of Jewish Students and ZWST – Zentralwohlfahrtsstelle der Juden in Deutschland, the Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany. A huge “Thank you!” goes out to them!
