Study Sessions are seminars organised by international non-governmental youth organisations in cooperation with the Directorate of Youth and Sport hosted in one of the European Youth Centres. The programme of the Study Sessions is decided on the basis of applications submitted by youth organisations and networks.

The aim of the Study Session is to contribute to democratic citizenship through active youth participation in national communities based on the values of civil activism.
The program will include activities, lectures, workshops and plenary about youth civil activism and democracy, human rights and minority rights, intercultural dialogue and participation. Team building activities and networking facilitation will be offered as well. Moreover, the program will be supported by inputs from experts representing academic institutions. Furthermore the Study Session will privilege proactive and interactive methods and participants will be required to contribute with their experience to the activities.
Eligible criteria for applicants
The Study Session is dedicated to young people active or interested in youth participation, intercultural dialogue and human rights promotion, active members, leaders of Armenian/Jewish, other minority youth organizations from Europe.
Participants are required to be fluent in English and/or Russian.
Participants should demonstrate a strong interest in one of the topics of the Study Session, or should be active in organisations engaged in the respective fields.
Priority will be given to participants who
Reimbursement of Participants’ Travel and Visa Costs
Travel expenses (the cheapest route possible only) and visa costs are reimbursed by the Council of Europe, Directorate of Youth and Sport. Participants will be reimbursed on the basis of the least expensive route between their place of residence.
The participants should be present for the entire session. Participants attending less than 80% of the total duration of the session will not be reimbursed.
Participation fee
The participation fee for the study session is 50 EUR per person. This amount will be deducted from the amount reimbursed from the travel expenses.
Accommodation and meals
Accommodation and kosher meals are provided by the European Youth Centre for free.
