Internship at the Inter-parliamentary Coalition for Combating Antisemitism

 

Working for:            The Inter-parliamentary Coalition for Combating Antisemitism (ICCA) brings together Parliamentarians from around the world to lead the fight against resurgent global antisemitism. Its principal purpose is to share knowledge, experience, best practice, and recommendations in an attempt to deal more effectively with contemporary antisemitism.

                                    In February 2009, the ICCA held its inaugural Conference in London, with over 120 parliamentarians from over 40 countries. It resulted in the adoption of the London Declaration on Combating Antisemitism. The next conference will be held in Ottawa, Canada in October 2010.

 

Salary:                                    Allowance of £10 / day

Details:            A confident, hardworking intern is required to join the team of the ICCA in London. The position is a fantastic opportunity for those wishing to gain experience of working in the international political world. It will also provide the intern with experiences in organising high profile events and international political visits.

 

 

                                    Responsibilities include:

·      Assist in the organisation of a major international conference

·      Assist in the preparation of delegations of MPs visiting parliaments abroad

·      Develop and keep contact with parliamentarians worldwide

·      Research

·      General assistance to the staff and office administration

 
Successful candidates should have the following:
 

·      At least one year of studies or a completed degree

·      Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

·      IT skills

·      Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure

·      Interest in international relations both in the NGO and parliamentary arena
