EU Activism 2024

Jewish Advocacy at the European Institutions

March 17–21, 2024 – Brussels, Belgium & Strasbourg, France

Join us for a unique opportunity to explore European politics and institutions based in Brussels (Belgium) and Strasbourg (France) from a 360-degree perspective. Get ready for a journey in the heart of EU institutions and – for the first time in EUJS history – the Council of Europe! Do not miss the opportunity to hear from world-renowned experts, discuss critical issues with key decision-makers in the EU, and delve into the realm of activism alongside peers from across Europe.

What is it about?

The EU Activism Seminar provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring young Jewish voices to the decision-making table for real impact. During the seminar, we will be exploring current-day issues and challenges that interest and affect Jewish students from around Europe, including the EU elections, the broader societal challenges of democratic backsliding, the fight against antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and much more.

Who can attend?

EUJS is looking for outstanding applicants who wish to gain meaningful advocacy and community-building experience. We will ensure a gender and geographical balance among participants, between 18 and 30 years old. Applicants are expected to actively engage in the entire programme. Attendance is mandatory, and no absences will be tolerated.

When and where?

The seminar will take place in Brussels (Belgium) and Strasbourg (France) from Sunday, March 17 until Thursday, March 21, 2024. EUJS will arrange transportation from Brussels to Strasbourg via bus.

How?

The participation fee is 100€, and travel costs will be reimbursed until 250€. The fee includes all programme costs, accommodation for 4-nights, food for the duration of the programme, and any transportation costs during the programme. Participants who are in a difficult financial situation can contact EUJS (invoice@eujs.org) or their local Unions and communities to request a scholarship to cover the participation fee. Lastly, EUJS is not responsible for travel and medical insurance.
