Darfur

08 December 2008

EUJS is devoted to raising awareness of the ongoing atrocities being committed in Darfur to such an extent that many have already started calling it genocide. This is the primary and most important theme that will be addressed at Summer U as it concerns an event taking place right now, that cries for our attention, and is an opportunity to put Jewish values into practice.  EUJS, under its ‘Shared Memories, Collective Action’ campaign has long worked on promoting genocide awareness and education and has been very active in the past year in the struggle to put an end to the atrocities in Darfur.

As members of the Jewish people who remember what happened to us just a short time ago and our resolution of ‘never again,’ EUJS cannot remain silent at such a time.
