Roma Genocide Remembrance Initiative

Roma Genocide Remembrance Initiative

The “Roma Genocide Remembrance Initiative” marks the 70th remembrance day of the Roma Genocide on August 2nd, gathering 1'000 young Roma and non-Roma from all over the world.

EUJS actively contributes to the program of the event, holds workshops and sessions, and brings a delegation of Jewish students to Krakow. For more information, please visit www.2august.eu.

Within the framework of the year-long Roma Genocide Remembrance Initiative, activities include a Jewish delegation to the Peace March in Srebrenica in July, the participation in preparatory meetings for upcoming projects in the framework of the Remembrance Initiative and joint statements with Roma organizations on topics such as racism and extremism, hate speech and violence against the Roma community.
